I provide counselling therapy and professional supervision with a strong commitment to gender-affirming and neurodivergent-affirming practice.
My work is dedicated to supporting the LGBTQA+ community, people with mental health conditions, and individuals with disabilities. In addition to therapy, I am also a professional supervisor and the founder of a trauma-informed traditional martial arts school.
LGBTQA+ individuals face unique barriers, including homophobia, transphobia, cisgenderism, and heterosexism, which can impact mental health, relationships, and access to services. These challenges increase the risk of anxiety, depression, substance use, and experiences of violence, while also making support services harder to access.
I have a particular passion and extensive experience in working alongside the LGBTQA+ community, including young people (12+). I am a registered provider with AusPath (Australian Professional Association for Trans Health).
With over 25 years of experience, I specialise in working with individuals experiencing complex mental health conditions, co-occurring disabilities, and psychosocial challenges.
I have in-depth knowledge of the NDIS, including safety planning, suicide risk assessment, and functional capacity assessments upon request. My expertise particularly extends to queer and gender-diverse individuals navigating mental health conditions and disabilities.
My approach is built on safety, respect, and advocacy, ensuring that you have a space where you can be your authentic self. I offer a non-pathologising and strengths-based approach, grounded in respect and empathy.
Seeking support is a strength. If something doesn’t feel quite right and you’re unsure how to move forward, working with an external therapist can provide the clarity, tools, and support you need. You are not alone.
I hold a Master of Social Work, a Bachelor of Human Services, and am currently completing a Master of Mental Health (Psychotherapy). With a commitment to an anti-oppressive approach, I centre you as the expert of your own life, whilst I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored for you, including:
My trauma-informed approach is guided by recognised best practice standards:
✅ Safety – Creating a secure and supportive space.
✅ Trustworthiness – Transparent and ethical practice.
✅ Collaboration – You are the expert in your own life.
✅ Empowerment – Strength-based and affirming care.
✅ Choice – Respecting your autonomy and decisions.
✅ Diversity & Inclusion – Recognising and respecting intersectionality.
If you're looking for a therapist or supervisor who truly sees and supports you, I’d love to connect.
